I did it, mates! As of now, I am a free woman. This is just way cool.

So guess what happened before I went on stage to receive my diploma? I was standing on some tarp, and my turn was coming soon. I took a step forward, but left foot refused to come. I figured I had it hooked on one of the giant wires taped to the gym floor. So I lifted my foot and tried moving again. I couldn't. In a slight burst of anger, I joggled my foot, hoping it would come loose. Finally, it popped free and I could see what my over-sized robe had been covering...

I had the weirdest wooshing feeling of panic at that exact moment. My freaking robe had been draped over the legs of the biggest radio speaker I have ever seen. If I had yanked my foot just a bit harder... Eesh, I'm so glad restrained myself! *wipes away sweat*


On a somewhat more cheerful note, I almost yelled in front of the entire school. Before my foot got caught, I heard someone in the audience say, "Whoohoo, Bridget!" Then he started to laugh.

Of course, my dignity was somewhat offended. I just about turned around to say "Shut up!" to the guy, my good friend Don. But I thought better of it. Now, I just wonder if anyone in the audience wonders why my head jerked back and around at that particular moment.

I also almost walked out the door without my diploma. It was a very awesome day!
